Coach Ro

When a lot of us think about Beaufort Academy, we think about Coach Ro. Whether one of his players or a parent, sported a  "Ro Knows Soccer" bumper sticker on your car or attended one of his BA soccer camps, played on one of his state championship soccer teams or were simply a student in his gym class, Rohan impacted us in some way. He was an icon in the Beaufort Academy community. Always there. Always happy. Always "Ro."  What some of you might not know, however, are the health struggles he has been going through the last several years. 

In 2011, Ro suffered a blood infection that left him hospitalized for an extended period of time. Between then and this past June, he underwent neck surgery to repair discs in addition to having complications with his kidneys. Through these difficult times, Ro continued his passion for coaching and most never knew he was sick. This past June, Ro suffered a stroke and had stents put in his heart. He will now undergo dialysis for his kidneys. The latest issues will force Ro to go on disability. 

With his wife, Nalini, and daughter, Nikki, a freshman at Clemson, to support, this transition to disability will be difficult.
