My name is Mary; my daughter Taylor and I have known Rick for over 20 years, and we hope to get him the help he needs. Many know Rick as a sweet, quirky, funny, and dedicated Boca Raton PAL Boxing Coach. He has faithfully kept in touch with many of those in the program even though he retired years ago. "His kids," as he refers to them, are all grown adults now. To know Rick is to love him: a gentleman who loves his cat Rosey, is always pleasant, and always has a kind word to give.
Our Rick has recently endured a series of medical events and has been hospitalized three times in the last six weeks. He's currently in the hospital recovering from broken vertebrae and his hip and ankle fractures. The situation led to his friends discovering Rick's poor living conditions - the severity of which was heartbreaking for many of us. He gets by on a very meager income of just over $900 a month, with no dollar to spare to fix or replace what's broken. He already must pay an association assessment on top of the regular monthly assessment, and to add insult to injury; he's now facing expensive medical and ambulance bills.
Rick deserves the chance to recover without having to worry about bills, assessments, and repair costs. Today, all who know and care about Rick have the opportunity to show up for him. He has so much to overcome, and the greatest gift that his friends could give him is the peace of mind he needs to focus solely on his health. YOU can help give him that gift today. Every dollar counts, and every kind heart will be recognized. Please take a moment to make a difference in Rick's life. He's made a difference in so many of ours! Please share and keep Rick in your prayers.
