The Chen’s, Andrew, Tracy, Robert, and Jenny

My name is Audra Grundy and I coach Robert in year round swimming at SRVA. On March 29 his entire family got an a horrific, near fatal car accident. The car was flipped several times, and Jenny their youngest got ejected from the car. She is in critical condition and the rest of the family has severe injuries as well. Please think about donating to them as they will have big medical bills ahead and this will also support their young children Robert and Jenny. This is one of the nicest families I have ever met, so kind and giving. Please say prayers, send warm thoughts, donate, whatever you can do to help this family in their time of need.

Our Update: Thanks for the well wishes. We are all slowly getting better a little each day. At this point, I feel like we will all make it through alive which was my greatest fear. With the help of 3 great and various hospitals, we are in a stable state. The broken bones will likely plague us in older years. We all have concussions that affect our thinking and dizziness. Tracy and Jenny have brain injuries that although getting better have not cleared the threshold of back to normal. Rehab for the brain, body, and spirit need to reconnect. Today, I have had the most severe almost constant pain all day inspite of very strong medicines. Most of the time I'm in bed, a walker for 5 steps, and mostly in a wheelchair. One might take a look at me and Robert and think we are good, but the MRIs say we are not. Backbraces for everyone and some need neck braces. Jenny also has a helmet for her skull protection. If the spine doesn't heal properly, surgeries and other treatments will be in our futures. Everyone is tired all the time. Lots of great friends and family to care for and help us even though we are far away. Me and kids are still in Fresno hospital area. Tracy was transported to Walnut Creek for treatment and rehab. Better, as friends and Family can take care of her. I'm hopeful, but its going to be day by day for several months then years of maintenance. Mountains of paperwork and medical coordination which my cousins are helping to sort through. Thats it for now. Please stay tuned and I will update over time with new developments. Thanks and Love,
