Hi, my name is Monica Hang and I don’t normally ask for help, but I’ve created a GoFundMe for the person who has changed my life since I was 12 years old, Coach. I’m doing it because he severely needs our help and we ALL know that if it was us in need, he would be the first without hesitation.

Many of you know him as Coach, but to me, he's more than a coach; he was a father to me and to so many others. He loved us like his own.

Coach has one of the biggest hearts and has helped so many people in his lifetime. If you ever needed anything, without a doubt, you could count on him.

In the past few years, Coach and his sweetheart have been battling dementia. He has been caring for her, but this past Monday, July 28, 2025, he was admitted to the ER at San Gabriel Medical Center and was in ICU due to a brain hemorrhage which has shifted his brain 7mm. CT scan found old and new blood. His speech is impaired, he's weak, sleeps most of the day, and is being monitored 24/7. On August 6, 2025, Coach has been transferred to a convalescent hospital. I am creating this GoFundMe account to help him and his wife during this difficult time as both need 24/7 care. They only have Medicare at the moment, so we are trying to figure out the next steps.

I am asking to spread this to all those who know Coach…NBA (he’s the one who started the summer pro league), Lakers (he was part of their organization), JAO, Mark Keppel, play smarter basketball family, and etc. He's a giving man and now it's our time to give back. Anything will be greatly appreciated, and please keep him, his wife and the entire family in your thoughts and prayers.
