Dear Friends, Family, and Community,
My name is Madison Mcfadden and
With heavy hearts, I share that my
beloved Jerry Phillips my dad and Makavas, grandfather and Loyola’s defense coordinator coach’s home has been lost in the recent fire. Tragically, we were unable to save anything, and the place that held so many cherished memories is now gone.
This home was more than just walls and a roof—it was a symbol of the love and dedication my dad has poured into his life’s work. A coach, personal trainer, and lifelong member of this community and his grandparents community, my dad has always strived to give back to those around him. Whether shaping young lives through football, mentoring young men, or simply being a great father, son, and “Papa,” his passion has always been to better others with the wisdom and care he holds in his heart.
As a proud alumnus of John Muir and PCC, my dad has dedicated his career to building not only athletes but also better individuals, instilling values of hard work, integrity, and greatness. Now, in this challenging time, we humbly ask for your support—whether through donations, love, or prayers—as we work to rebuild what has been lost.
Thank you all for standing with us during these trying times. Your generosity and kindness mean the world to us. May God bless you all.
With love and gratitude,
