Coach Charles Parker has been a teacher/coach in LaGrange, GA for the past 40 years and has touched so many lives. Charles was diagnosed with kidney disease in 2012 and placed on the transplant list in late 2022. One of his former softball players, Lucy Hamby Wynne, stepped up to be tested and was an eventual match! Lucy gave Charles the gift of life on May 19th at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta. He is doing well and healing slowly. They are staying in Atlanta following surgery and there are lots of additional expenses including hotel, anti-rejection medicines, meals, etc.
