Help Coach Marsh Get the Kidney Transplant Evaluation and Transplant He Desperately Needs
If you've ever had a coach who changed your life — this is your chance to give back to one of the best.
My father, Coach Ron Marsh, has spent the better part of the last 40 years of his life giving everything to others: coaching swimming and water polo across Florida, Michigan, California, and Indiana, working with everyone from 6-month-old beginners to age-group national champions, future Olympians, professional athletes, and everyone in between. He has made many sacrifices to teach and coach others and left a lasting impact on the aquatics community that few can match.
Now, he needs our help.
Since 2020, my dad has been on dialysis, battling end-stage kidney disease. Despite the exhaustion and physical toll, he continues to fight with the same heart and discipline he’s instilled in his athletes for decades. But now, we’ve reached a crucial step in his fight: a chance at a kidney transplant.
He has been accepted for an evaluation at the Mayo Clinic, but to proceed with the required testing, diagnostics, and in-clinic dialysis, we need to raise $25,000. This covers:
• Travel costs (gas and hotel for 5 nights)
• Diagnostic testing and labs
• On-site dialysis treatment
• Food and basic needs during his stay
• FUTURE KIDNEY TRANSPLANT - and all the associated costs that go with it.
If my dad has ever coached you, watched him build confidence in your child, or witnessed his passion for the sport and love for his athletes — please consider helping.
Every dollar brings us closer to giving him the second chance he’s earned tenfold through a lifetime of service to others. If you can’t donate, a share or kind words of support in the comments go a long way.
Thank you for being part of this journey — and thank you for supporting a man who has dedicated his life to building up others. You'll notice that we've asked for more money than my father needs currently to just get his evaluation done, we want to make sure he can get the funds he'll need to get the transplant fully paid for when he's able to receive his donation. Medicare is going to cover a large swath of the ACTUAL expenses that go into both the evaluation and actual transplant, the amount above is what will be needed by him to pay.
