With broken hearts, we are sharing information on the passing of the love of our lives, Manny Devesa Jr. Our family has decided that his impact on so many should be carried on, and we have created a scholarship fund, in his name, for girls’ softball.

Manny was more than just a man in uniform or a coach with a clipboard. He was a mentor who believed in hard work and dedication, he was a role model who led by example, and a driving force in the community for the sport of softball. Whether he was fighting fires, guiding his daughters, supporting his “teammates”, or coaching young players, Manny lived with a sense of purpose and passion.

The Coach Manny Devesa Memorial Softball Scholarship will be awarded annually to a deserving high school senior who demonstrates:

Our goal is to raise $10,000 to establish the scholarship fund and provide support for recipients in the community of Girls’ softball for years to come. With your help Manny’s legacy and spirit will continue to shape lives of young athletes- just as he did in life.
