Update: Coach's son, Parrish is joining the trip. It is super exciting to have Coach's family so involved and this will make the trip so much better. Please share this far and wide to help us cover Parrish's expenses as well.
Please, help Steve “Coach Mac” McAnelly visit his dream destination this Summer. After 35 years dedicated to teaching World History and coaching at Florida A&M and several High Schools around the State of Florida, Coach Mac continues to teach as a Docent at the McLarty Treasure Museum despite having stage 4 colon cancer. His dedication to education and family is admirable, but it left little time to see the World that he was teaching about.
His fellow volunteers are raising money to help him see his dream destinations in Italy this September, and we would love it if you would help us get him there. We are planning to see Rome, Pompeii, and the Naples Archaeology Museum with guides and record the adventure for he and his family to enjoy forever. We will be sharing the video with the public on YouTube after the trip so you can see the results, as well.
We look forward to having Coach teach us and you about places he has treasured and taught about for almost 40 years Our last adjustment to $5200 ($5000 after fees) will pay for a resort stay with spa package for Coach. These funds will cover all accomadations, food, several great tours, and even allow for ample spending money for coach to have an amazing trip, thus saving his resources for his fight against cancer and quality of life for what is hopefully a very long time to come. Funds are needed to start deposits ASAP, but fundraising will continue until they are raised in full, $800 is earmarked for coach's spending, and all funds above the $5k will be set aside for unexpected costs or may be used to do a similar thing for another deserving public servant next year.
