Coach Julian

Hi, my name is Jodeci Acosta-Gorman, oldest sister to Julian Acosta-Gorman (aka JJ). He is currently enrolled at University of Cincinnati with an expectation to graduate with his Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management. He is a brother to 5 siblings, an uncle to his 4-year-old nephew, a coach for 16-17Y Marlins baseball team and Columbus Academy, a son, a boyfriend, and many more.

Unfortunately, JJ is not well. He has been hospitalized on 5 separate occasions for unexplained seizures, migraines, and paralysis following the seizures. 3 hospitalizations occurred since December 6th, 2022 which has resulted in more questions than answers for us. He is currently in the emergency room and the seizures are not stopping with plans to re-admit him into the ICU today, sedate and intubate him yet again this month.

We are not getting the answers we need, so we are working on getting him transferred to an epileptic center when he becomes stable. But unfortunately in his current state, they cannot transfer him.

This is a very difficult time for my family and his loved ones especially during the holidays. I know JJ wants to be home, feel safe, and be nurtured around his loved ones. We are hurting for him right now, and he needs all the support he can get.

I have started this gofundme as a method to support my family, especially my brother and mother at this time. These funds will help with medical expenses and living expenses. Julian has missed a lot of work due to his hospitalizations this month. A prayer will help too <3.
