Coach Johnny Martinez

Hello all,

On behalf of the Martinez Family a few of us fellow baseball families would like to offer support for Hope and Ivan as they navigate the unimaginable loss of Johnny.  We appreciate your thoughts, prayers and outreach of support.

 

This GoFundMe is intended to help Hope and Ivan with funeral, medical and unexpected expenses arising due Johnny’s sudden passing.  Johnny was a man with a huge heart and smile to go with it.  He was there for everyone any time there was a need; and he never said no.  As you all know, Johnny’s first love after his family was baseball – watching Ivan play brought him great joy and is what he lived for.  The look of pride on his face was priceless as he watched his boy play the game.  And in true Johnny fashion, always giving, he just couldn’t help himself from coaching all the boys he knew from the sidelines, even if they were on the opposing team.  “Once a coach, always a coach”.  Johnny coached many of our boys over the years in our community including basketball – and what a coach he was! He will be greatly missed.
