Coach James Lamar Fund

Coach James Lamar has been there for so many of us, and now it is our turn.

As many of you know, James had emergency heart surgery on May 31st and was put on life support fighting for his life. Despite two additional surgeries over the next two days and multiple complications, James continues to show fight. Even throughout the setbacks, the family continues to get signs of hope and feel comfort knowing that James' recovery is in God’s hands.

As James and his family face his uphill battle with his health, we have begun to organize ways to support them. These ideas include providing meals and groceries, taking care of home obligations and responsibilities, covering travel for families coming into town, supplementing lost income, mitigating medical costs, and finding ways to ease the burdens that lie ahead for this amazing family.

James has taught many of us how to put our full trust in God, never stop fighting and how to love whole-heartedly. This is a chance for us to show James, Marissa and the entire family that they have an army behind them as he continues to fight on this journey. It is our time to step up.
