Coach Eto and Family Fund

As most of you know from the articles that have been published, Mike Eto, our beloved athletic director, was hospitalized last month because of lung complications resulting from COVID-19.  At this point, he is still at home and intermittently on oxygen throughout the day.  Although his doctors say that his lungs have healed, they do not have a timeline in which it will be safe for him to go back to school.   As with every one and this illness, the doctors also do not know what, if any, long term effects this will have on his overall health. 

The part that most people do not know is all of the other difficulties that Mike and his family have suffered through this summer.  Mike and his wife Allison also take care of Mike’s mother and father who are ill and live with them.  They also have four children in college at this time.  Allison, who works with autistic children in the school district, had mono earlier in the summer as well.  Although she is a 10-month employee, she usually gets a job over the summer.  However, as a result of her illness as well as having to take care of Mike and Mike’s parents, she was unable to work this summer.

Mike is currently on unpaid leave from his job and although his wife will hopefully return to work when the students return in a few weeks, they will definitely be struggling financially.  Mike and his wife are very proud and did not want to ask anyone for help but with the outpouring of requests to help from the community, they have agreed to allow us to set up this Go Fund Me for their family.
