It's with a heavy heart that we have recently lost "Coach Dave", "Devine", David Valentine Clarke from Omni Combat Fitness. On August 18th Dave suffered a stroke while competing at a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu tournament. He was immediately taken to the hospital where he later that evening he had a second stroke while in the ICU (Intensive Care Unit) which put him in a coma; like the fighter we all knew him to be, he battled for over a week, but unfortunately he didn't recover. He later passed away the evening of the 29th.
During this time of grieving, we are trying to help his family focus on healing rather than worry about the financial impact. They are in the very worrisome position of covering the much unexpected medical bills and now funeral costs. Dave was a selfless man who gave much of himself to so many people, we are asking for everyone to give just a little back; every little bit helps.
