My father was diagnosed in September 2026 with stage 4 Glioblastoma brain cancer. This came on very suddenly and without any warning. Most people know my dad as Coach Dave, he spent over 30 years coaching varsity boys basketball, softball and football at Horace Greeley High School, there was nothing he loved more than coaching and helping kids. Anyone who knows my dad knows just how big his heart is, always taking care of everyone, even if that meant letting them move in with us! My fathers brain cancer has flipped our lives upside down. He now requires constant 24/7 care, and we are doing our best to keep him home at his brother’s house with the help of home aids but it becomes more challenging everyday. My father’s mobility skills are almost completely gone and needs assistance for very basic daily functions. The cancer has also taken my dad’s short term memory, someone could come to visit and shortly after they leave he’ll have no idea they were even there to see him. Unfortunately with several different doctors opinions, there is no treatment option for my father, no cure to this cancer, and nothing we can do to help slow this down, he has anywhere between 4-6 months left here with us. We are asking for any kind of donation to help with the cost of the care my father needs so that we may be able to keep him “home” with us for as long as possible. Additionally we are asking for prayers of strength and encouragement for him and our family in this time of need.
