Coach Bob "Gunnar" Gunnarsson

Hi, my name is Mike Flynn and I've known Coach Gunnar for 8 years. Gunnar is a local baseball coach who teaches out of The Cages Training Facility in the North Phoenix, AZ. area and has worked with hundreds of young baseball players as both a pitching and hitting coach. Coach Gunnar is an expert with young players and has an irreverent sense of humor that resonates with the kids. He is beloved to his students and keeps the kids entertained at our summer baseball camps with his spot-on imitations and hilarious stories.

Coach Gunnar is currently undergoing brain surgery to remove a golf ball size tumor from behind his nasal cavity. His surgery is expected to last 6-8 hours and his recovery time is a hopeful 8 weeks. During that time Coach Gunnar won't be able to work with his students and thus won't have any income. This GoFundMe is to help him out during this downtime and help get him through this tough time on his way to a full recovery. Please help if you can. We love Coach Gunnar and want him back soon!
