Coach Benefield’s “Curveball”

Coach Benefield, as many of you know and love as coach, neighbor, family and friend.. to us, he also happens to be brother-in-law. We wanted to share that he is dealing with some very challenging extra innings this year.

After getting a clean bill of health at the end of his treatment for Stage 3 Esophageal cancer in 2022, it has apparently decided to come back for another round. Unfortunately, bringing out the closer (surgery) is not an option. He will be dependent upon the powers of love, healing energy, prayer, nutrition, chemo and immunotherapy. This will be a long journey with many speed bumps and challenges along the way but his hope is strong.

All donations will go towards the additional medical expenses, nutritional supplies, home care items and any other assistance needed to provide the most comfortable, least stressful days possible for Donnie, his wife Stefani, and his 4 sons (Clay, Jacob, Brodie, and Jaxson) while they deal with this very mean and relentless disease.
