One of my black belts and close friends Coach A (Alicia) was diagnosed with breast cancer a few months ago. She had a double mastectomy at the beginning of September and is now going through chemo and Her2 therapy. This will be a year long treatment process.

She could really benefit from some financial help with her medical bills. She has a single income household and is still continuing to work full-time as much as possible with the surgery/recovery and now dealing with the side effects of chemo (fatigue, nausea, etc). Her insurance covers a good portion of the medical costs although that still leaves a pretty big amount to cover on top of her regular living expenses. She has been reaching out to several organizations and applying for services. She has received support from a lot of them which is a blessing but unfortunately none of them are able to help with financial assistance for medical bills.

The amount not covered by insurance so far is $7k and she's got a ways to go with her treatments (she started chemo and Her2 therapy six weeks ago) so as much of a dent that can be made in her medical expenses would be greatly appreciated.
