Hello family, friends and Street Soccer community,

Last month (March 1, 2024), our beloved Coach Andres was in a serious bike accident. On his way to coach a practice at the Tenderloin Rec Center, he was hit by a car. While now stable and in recovery, he sustained significant injuries including a jaw fracture that requires multiple surgeries.

Coach Andres is a dedicated and caring member of the Street Soccer community. He has a big heart, and shares his positivity and kindness widely. As a result of the accident, and in order to prioritize Andres’ health, his mother has had to take off work and forgo the opportunity to sustain income that supports their family. We are hoping to raise money in support of lost wages, and medical expenses that make a hard situation even more challenging for Andres and his family.

As he tends to be, Coach Andres is in good spirits and grateful to be alive and around caring loved ones. While he has a long road ahead, he is looking forward to being able to return to coaching with his big Andres smile.
