Anyone who knows Julie Dukovic knows what an extraordinary women she is. She is by far the most caring, compassionate person i have ever met and i am proud to call her my friend. She is a loving, single mother to her 9 year old son Sam.
June 2014, she was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer called Ewing Sarcoma . It was at this time that she had her first spinal surgery to have the tumor removed. Soon after surgery she underwent radiation and 17 rounds of chemotherapy. throughout her treatment she continued to work and care for her son.
In August her test results showed that she was cancer free. Unfortunately, it was short lived . Within 2 months the cancer was back. Last week she underwent another extremely painful surgery to have the second tumor removed. this time the tumor crushed her spine and she had to have metal rods inserted. She is now recovering from surgery so she can begin chemotheraoy again.
She desperately needs the help and support from all of her friends. I believe that Julie's family will be forever grateful.
