Hi, my name is Diana Mendoza, and I am requesting emergency funding for cataract replacement lenses which are not covered by my insurance. Each lens is $2000.00. My first surgery is scheduled for early May, and the second one is in mid June. I never thought I would find myself in this predicament. I have been out of work since early January due to the severe loss of my vision due to the rapid decline in my eyesight. My original surgery had to be postponed due to other health complications leading to more loss of work and income. It saddens me to make this public request, but I don’t see any other way. I will be forever grateful for this gift of sight.
