Recovery Fund for Ian’s Stroke

Donation protected

On February 14, while Ian and Jenni were having dinner to celebrate Valentine’s Day, Ian felt a sharp pain in his head. He quickly began to go numb and told Jen he wasn’t feeling well. She noticed his speech was slurred and he couldn’t move. In that moment, Jen knew he was having a stroke and wasted no time in calling 911. Thankfully the paramedics came quickly and Ian was brought to the ER in a short amount of time from the time the stroke occurred.

The initial CT scan confirmed that Ian had suffered a hemorrhagic stroke in his brain stem. A hemorrhagic stroke is when blood from an artery begins bleeding into the brain. This happens when a weakened blood vessel bursts and bleeds into the surrounding brain. Pressure from the leaked blood damages brains cells, and, as a result, the damaged area is unable to function properly.

After several days in ICU, Ian will be transferring to a rehab facility to begin the road to recovery.

During this process we know that Ian will have many medical expenses. As a family, we are reaching out and asking for help to support his recovery. Kindly, donate what you can to help financially support his recovery. These donations will help pay for the hospital expenses as well as future physical therapy expenses.

Though there is a long road to recovery ahead,  we trust and believe in God for a full recovery for Ian. His focus and determination to get better and the support from all friends and family mean so much during this time.
