California Jr Racquetball - Team USA
This year, there are 8 Junior Racquetball players from California qualifying for Team USA . There are 4 on the World Cup Team (18's, 16's, and 14's) and 4 on the Esprit Team (12's and 10's)..
These players include Sawyer Lloyd (18 and under Boys Doubles), Daniel Rojas (16 and Boys singles), Ricky Diaz (14 and under Boys doubles), Dane Elkins (14 and under Boys doubles), Nikita Chauhan (12 and under Girls singles), Antonio Rojas (12 and under Boys singles, and 12 and under Boys doubles), Heather Mahoney (10 and under Girls singles and 10 and under Girls doubles), and Krish Thakur (10 and under Boys singles).
This year the World Chamionships will be played in Columbia.. It is an expensive trip with very little of the costs covered by USA Racquetball.. There is travel for the player and generally at least one parent as well as lodging and food. It can easily add up to $3,000+ per player and sometimes is a deciding factor whether a player can play or not..
We want to help so that affordability should not be an issue for any of the California players, and we are looking to raise $2,000 per player as well as a little additional to go to the general team fund.
Any little bit helps and we appreciate you spreading the word to other Racquetball and athletic fans via email or Facebook or ?
Thank You
