Fred Needs Surgery

HI, I’M FREDDIE!!

I'm a four month old weimaraner who was just diagnosed with spina bifida and numerous other bony abnormalities in my shoulder and wrist. This makes it difficult for me to get up and walk, lift my head, and function normally. As I grow, these issue will most certainly cause me osteoarthritic pain if I don't have interventional surgery when I'm at least ten months old. The doctors said that I will need my wrist fused and my shoulder reconstructed and fused to eliminate pain and improve my quality of life. I also need to start physical therapy now to strengthen my muscles and improve range of motion in my limbs.
