33 years ago Jeff entered our lives. He loves us unconditionally despite not being our biological father. Jeff accomplished so many things both in his career and with his family. From playing in bands like Foghat and The Outlaws, traveling across the world, and inspiring so many- to attending cheerleading competitions, soccer games, and supporting the lives we now have, Jeff gives everything he has to live life to the fullest. Linda (my mom and Jeff's wife) supports him every step of the way. He is known to his grandkids as g-dad and he takes this role seriously, buying them drum sets, Guitars, giving lessons, and showering them with love.

 

Over the last 20 years, Jeff has gotten increasingly sicker, starting with Lyme disease and developing into everything you can think of. Each time we would get together we always wondered if it was going to be a good day or a bad day. And no matter what he pushed through. Recently though, his health has taken a turn for the worst. He developed blood clots in his lungs and heart, his heart began to fail, his breathing began to worsen, the clots indicated cancer and it is believed he has renal cancer. 

 

Now my mom is faced with the expense of this on top of the immense grief and loneliness of watching her best friend deteriorate in front of her eyes. We are hoping his many friends, family, and fans are willing to support Jeff's family as he has supported so many others. There are really not enough words to express the great sadness we feel and how difficult this has been. We are not out of the weather and we are holding on to hope. We appreciate you all.
