Hope for Noah

Donation protected
I met Haley and Justin over ten years ago during Welcome Week at Austin Peay State University. Haley and I became fast friends, bonding over our love for the Lord and sharing the gospel with others across our campus and around the world. Even before graduating college, Justin and Haley knew that the Lord called them to adoption, and Noah entered the picture not long after.

Haley and Justin adopted Noah in 2017 from a home that could no longer provide him with the level of care he needed. Noah's former family adopted him at birth, and after eight years, they decided to start the process of finding him a new home and family.

As I'm sure you can imagine, being uprooted from the only family he had ever known caused a lot of trauma and attachment issues for Noah on top of some trauma already present from birth.

From day one, Haley and Justin have sought to provide Noah with the absolute best care through many different specialists and facilities. Due to his history, Noah struggles with multiple mental illnesses and behavioral problems, creating a complex string of diagnoses requiring highly specialized and continuous care. This has made it extremely difficult for Noah to attend school, make friends, and experience the everyday things 13-year-olds should be experiencing.

Noah has been hospitalized six times in the last two years alone.

Over the last three months, it has become abundantly clear that Noah would benefit from a trauma-focused program trained in his specific needs. A program of this caliber will allow Noah to receive one-on-one care for an extended period, creating the much-needed opportunity for various therapies and treatments to take effect and for healing to happen at the core.

In such a program, he will have access to pediatric psychiatrists specializing in treating children who suffer from depression, self-destructive habits, explosive outbursts, and anxiety. The therapists he will work with are extensively trained in attachment and adoption. However, a program like this costs at minimum $10,000-$12,000 per month, some even higher.

Even with two great full-time jobs and good insurance, this amount of money is crippling. But Justin and Haley are willing to do anything, sell anything, anything to help their son.

Noah is not your typical 13-year-old. He loves deeply and desires for others to experience that same love. He knows how much his parents and family love him and will always fight for him and not give up on him.

Your support will not only help Noah find peace and healing through a specialized program, but it will also aid in bringing peace and healing to the Cowley family as a whole.

It's a big goal, but we serve the creator of the heavens and the earth. He is able to do immeasurably more than we can ever ask or imagine, and I know that he will make way for healing.

As the new year approaches and many people donate to charities, I ask you to consider donating to Noah's treatment. Every dollar lifts the financial burden that much more.

Please give whatever you can and pray fervently for Noah, Haley, Justin, and Ezra as they embark on this next chapter of Noah's healing journey.

THANK YOU for giving. You are changing a life.
