Hello, I’m reaching out to the community of friends and family in effort to raise support for one of our dearest, Debra Stromquist. Debra is currently facing the most difficult battle for her life against pancreatic cancer. I had a conversation with Debra knowing how difficult and personal this information is Debra has humbly allowed me to share her story.

Debra’s journey began Dec 2023 with ongoing digestive issues. She attended multiple doctor’s appoints and testing where she was told nothing was wrong and was basically dismissed.

Mid March 2024 Debra still struggling, ended up in the emergency department with jaundice searching for answers. That night all alone she was tragically informed she had pancreatic cancer.

Debra started Chemotherapy at the Cancer Clinic here in Kelowna. After her treatments were complete she took a 6 week break. Trying to regain weight and strength in order to undergo Whiple surgery. This surgery is an extremely invasive surgery that is to remove the tumour from the pancreas. Glory to God the surgery was successful and in September 2024 Debra was deemed cancer free.

After her scheduled blood work in Nov 2024 it showed her markers went up and an emergency CT revealed 8 nodules in her lungs. Immediately the doctors started her on another 6 rounds of chemotherapy which ended mid February 2025.

Doctors said that given the nature of her diagnosis it suggests possible metastasized pulmonary disease from the original tumour.

Leaving no stone unturned, our sweet Debra has been such a warrior and is searching for relief in all directions possible. She came across the ‘Hope For Cancer Foundation

located in Mexico. It has a 25 year world renowned history in integrated oncology. After much consultation and research it is in Debra’s prayer to attend this program.

With the urgency of this situation it is heavy on my heart to ask for prayer for Debra, and if you can help financially to support her as she continues to walk through this battle field towards her healing victory.
