Danielle "Blaize The Poet" Cortez Medical Expenses

My name is Chaun McNeely and this GoFundMe is for my wife Danielle "Blaize The Poet" Cortez. In June 2018, she fell pretty hard and the fall has caused irreversible damage to her spinal cord. She has been diagnosed with spinal stenosis with myopathy, neuropathy, radiculopathy and facing 95% paralysis without surgery. Over the past fews months since her fall her body began to get weaker and weaker as she experienced loss of mobility in her hands, arms and legs. For several months her health declined tremendously and  rapidly.  She began to use a walker to help her with mobility.  Her first surgery was scheculed on Nov 8th 2018 to stop any further degeneration of her spinal cord but the surgery had to be stopped midway due to her heart being too weak to handle the surgery. She was referred to the neurosurgeons at UNC Chapel Hill for her next surgery but before she could be seen by the neurosurgeons she developed numbness from the chest down. She was advised to go into the UNC hospital ER because of these complications. Her condition was worsening very fast. On Friday Nov 23, 2018 she was admitted for emergency surgery on her spinal cord to stop the damage of her spinal cord.According to the neurosurgeon she was going paralyzed. Danielle went into Emergency surgery on Saturday.  After the surgery on Saturday Nov 24, 2018 the surgeon stated she needs weeks of inpatient therapy rehab. Spinal cords are unpredictable so her time in rehab and her condition after rehab are unknown at this time. Today, I am asking for help. Help to pay her medical expenses which includes copays, medical health insurance bills, and prescriptions to continue with her recovery for as long as it takes. I have complete faith that if she works hard enough she will gain full strength and mobility again from her chest down. Today, I am asking if you could donate any amount to this cause.
