As you know, our dear Jessica is with the Lord after fighting a tough battle with illness. She was in the hospital for 4 weeks. In all that time she never lost her sense of humor. She kept us in stitches so many times throughout the most horrible time of her life, and ours. Jessica was so kind and cooperative to the nurses and CNA's and aides, the nurses who poked and took her blood at 3am, even though every turn was painful, and even though they brought her crappy food, she smiled at them, joked with them, knew them all by name. We knew how many people she loved, but we never really understood the number of lives she touched until finally let us tell people she was in the hospital fighting for her life. She didn't want to bother anyone, worry anyone, or make anyone feel sorry for her... but Jessica was in a fight for her life, so she finally conceded. And then we saw you.... SO MANY OF YOU!! And then we all started coming to Washington to be with her. There was so many... Thank you all who were able to come and be there. She fought to stay alive till you all got there. So now we're left here without our Jess. Her loved ones who have been here in Washington for weeks have incurred expenses plus the cost of funeral expenses is coming up.
