Help Nick and His Family Through This Unimaginable Time
On the morning of Tuesday October 21st Nick was rushed to the hospital when he awoke paralyzed from the waist down, after an MRI he was diagnosed with an abscess on his spine and was rushed into emergency spinal surgery to drain the abscess and release the pressure on his spine. He is in recovery with an incredible team at Midland Memorial Hospital.
When it comes to spine surgery there is no clear answer on how the body will respond or the amount of time it takes for nerves to repair and regain function. As our doctor said this is up to God and his body now. He is slowly regaining sensation but currently remains unable to use his legs. He has been on strong antibiotics and will have to remain on them with a picc line for four to six weeks to fully clear the infection from his body. We are celebrating the daily wins and being patient as he repairs, so far it's looking good but it will take time, treatment, and prayer.
Nick works in the oil field as a self employed contractor and with the uncertain time frame for healing that comes with spine surgery he faces a long and difficult recovery, the medical bills and loss of income are quickly adding up.
This sweet family has already been through so much this year. They have met every challenge with faith, love, and resilience, but this is more than any family should have to bear alone.
We are asking for your support, whether through donations, sharing this page, or lifting them up in your prayers. Every single contribution helps ease their burden and keeps their household afloat while Nick focuses on healing.
If you know Nick, you know his heart. He is a hardworking man, a loyal friend, and someone who would give the shirt off his back to help another person. Now it is our turn to show that same love and generosity back to him and his family.
Anything you can give will make a difference, no matter how small. Let us come together to lift up them up and remind them that they are not alone.
Every dollar helps and every act of kindness matters. Your support, no matter the amount, will make a real difference as they face the challenges ahead.
Thank you for your kindness, your prayers, and your support.
“Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved, for you are my praise.”
Jeremiah 17:
