Josie Pophal passed away on July 14, 2017 after a long and difficult battle with stomach cancer. She was a caring wife, loving mother, helpful daughter, kind sister, selfless friend, and devoted math professor. In her honor, her family and her colleagues at Notre Dame College set up a scholarship in her name that will provide funds for dedicated female students in mathematics. Josie motivated young women to pursue the subject because she felt that females were often discouraged in the mathematics field. She believed math was easy, just not explained properly. If possible, please donate to assist future students to succeed and keep alive Josie's passion for the school and the subject. Thank you.
