Testimonial: My name is Paul M Spicer and I want to thank everyone for their prayers and words of encouragement during my recent battle with Covid-19 Delta and Double Pneumonia. After contracting Covid-19, a viral and bacterial infection compromised my lungs to the point that I was given Oxygen 24/7 while in the hospital. I also received a Blood Transfusion for Covid-19 had attacked my Red Blood Cells, my Kidney Function and Upper Gastrointestinal Tract. This has been the most challenging time. While being physically exhausted, mental and emotional stressors began to take their toll. I cried and cried wishing the pain to go away and the nurses would stop drawing blood...the pricks of needles became the norm. I had experienced the life being sucked out of me before my eyes, though I was so sedated I couldn't realize what was going on sometimes. Was this all a dream or an illusion? The bruising on my arms and hands from IV's prove it was real. Now comes phase two; the continuing care and follow up process. I have had friends take me to appointments, the grocery store, the pharmacy, even purchasing my medications. I was back in the ER Monday running another battery of test and given another round of medicines. The swelling in my abdomen and legs is slowly receding. I will most likely carry an Aerosol Inhaler for quite some time both in need and comfort. Slowly I will return to the "ole Paul". But there will always be something different. No one can experience an event like this and not be a changed person. My God Bless all of you prayer warriors and sweet well wishers...it saved me.
