Nolin was born with NANS deficiency. He was the first in the world to be diagnosed and since then there are now 12 others in the world. This rare metabolic disease affects Nolin's whole being. He cannot walk, talk, eat, digest, see, hear, sleep, or breathe without assistance. He is almost 7 and a LIVING MIRACLE, he has now been living 2 YEARS LONGER than his estimated life expectancy!

Nolin lives with seizures, a blood disorder that causes easy bruising and internal bleeding, he is immunocompromised, has soft bones, severe curvature of the spine, dislocated hips, a heart disorder, digestive issues, reflux, hard of hearing, is legally blind and has a non treatable seizure disorder. He relies on 24/7 care from his parents, caregivers and medical team. Nolin also relies on many medications, supplements and tons of medical equipment. Nolin's family has been fundraising for all of Nolin's essentials for some time, this includes a wheelchair accessible van, a lift and house adaptations, they have exhausted all other funds to finish the rest of Nolin’s house adaptations. 

They  are needing financial assistance to complete this huge project that they have started, including expanding his space (adding on to their house) with a wheelchair accessible bathroom that has a track ceiling lift to his bedroom, an enclosed space (to keep Nolin warm and dry) around his newly installed platform lift and a ramp to the front entrance of their home. The costs are estimated over $100 000, but they are hoping to get it done for $75 000 or less.

Unfortunately Nolin fell down the stairs with his Dad carrying him 2 weeks ago, due to his lift still being unfinished, this incident has startled the family and has always been their biggest nightmare. Luckily no one was hurt, but due to Nolin's fragile nature, this too was a MIRACLE that he survived. An amazing neighbour and friend has nominated Nolin and his family for "Empties for Angels" fundraiser.
