My name is Hannah Smith. I'm 21 years old and I am always looking for the next chapter in my life and always excited for what the world has to offer. While a passion of mine is exploring the world and growing as an individual my greatest passion is living my life in a way that will improve upon others' lives.
Through a series of recent events in my life I have been prompted and moved in the direction of youth missionary work. I am in the process of getting involved with YWAM (youth with a mission).
Let me tell you a little bit about what my journey with YWAM will entail. I will be leaving January 9th for five months to study and learn about God and all his glory as well as learning missionary skills. For the first three months I will be based out of Mazatlan, Mexico. There I will be attending classes learning and growing as a Christian as well as learning skills I can take out into the world as a missionary. For the last two months I will be on the Ships outreach team. I will be on a ship with other youth in Lesvos, Greece working with the Syrian refugees there. Nearly 2,500 refugees come in a day to this island. We are currently learning basic medical, counseling and sailing techniques to use once we are there. We are going to provide relief to these people whose hardships have only just begun.
Here's where you come in! Like I mentioned before this has just sort of poped up in my life and I have recently felt called to put this thought into action. That being said I have to get all my ducks in a row and quickly. A huge part of that unforutaley is the money aspect. Since this has been so last minute I don't have the funds I need to make this happen right now. Although I have a job I am also a full time student and coming up with the necessary money on my own isn't an option.
If you could help me make this become a reality it would mean the world to me. I'm in a point in my life where I'm not sure what I want to do but I really believe that I am supposed to be embarking on this journey. Your donation would be put to great use and I would be forever grateful.
