Help Steve Beat Cancer

On December 28th my husband, Steve Ellington, went in for what we thought was a routine gall bladder removal. During the surgery the surgeon discovered some unknown inflammation to his right abdominal region prompting him to do some exploring. He found that his appendix was also slightly inflamed and made the decision to remove it. And thank God he did.
A week later we were asked to come back into his office to discuss his pathology report. Well it turned out there was a tumor in his appendix. And the tumor is a very rare and somewhat aggressive form of cancer called “goblet cell carcinoid”. To date, in dealing with all of this, he has already had 2 ER visits, 2 separate hospital stays, several different doctor visits, and a whole bunch of tests. We found out on 1/22/19 that the pathology from his colonoscopy revealed positive cancer cells in the colon. Due to this the surgeon requested the pathology from the original surgery be checked again and it revealed cells positive for cancer in the peritoneum of his abdomen. So the new plan is to go to Houston, Tx to MD Anderson to consult with a cancer team and for a surgery to remove the entire right side of his colon and a small (2-3cm) portion of his small intestines and then chemo and whatever other treatment is recommended. My husband is an amazing man and a wonderful father to our 17 year old daughter and 10 year old son. I want to give him every chance possible to kick cancers butt. Any help with this fight is greatly appreciated.
