My mom was diagnosed with auto immune liver disease 20 years ago. Her body was essentially attacking her liver as if it were a foreign invader. She was told she needed a liver transplant and wouldn't live much longer after that. She then made major life changes so she could be there for me and my little brother. She is a single mother that worked every day to take care of us (even in our adulthood). She has the kindest heart and would always give to people in need, although it was a struggle for us  most days. She donated her car to a family in need and rode her bike for over a decade, rain, snow or shine.
We recently found out that she is in end-stage liver disease and requires a lot of medical help. At the moment she is uninsured and has accumulated quite a few medical bills. The stress of all of this seems to be deteriorating her health. She's had to quit her job and there is no income at the moment. Any help from our wonderful community would mean everything to our family. Thank you so much for taking the time to read our story.
