As many of you know Jorge Cabrera is fighting a serious illness and has had to go back to his native country where he has medical coverage. Please help Jorge our dedicated golf course superintendent.

Jorge has been a fixture in Leisureville for over 25 years. He owned Meadows Landscape company, worked for Campbell Management company and, until his illness was the golf course superintendent where he did the work previously done by 2 employees. His sense of pride and incredible work ethic in everything he does shows in his actions and is admired by all of us.

More importantly, Jorge has been a friend to hundreds of residents. He helped remove unwanted wild animals from garages & attics, drove the Leisureville bus for residents who do not drive, cooked Latin food at barbecues, helped a lot of us donate unwanted furnishings to needy people he knew.

Through all this Jorge kept a smile on his face (and maybe a beer or margarita in his hand) and just wanted to help people. He was a care giver to his late landlord and is a devoted father to his son.

We wish him well in his journey through his illness and a speedy return to Leisureville. Now we have an opportunity to do something for Jorge. Please give what you can to help at this difficult time.
