As some of you have heard, this is our daughter Jackie. She was born in 1982, and although her life has been shorter than we hoped, it has been filled with strength, courage, and love. Jackie has been a fighter from the very beginning — not just once, but every single day of her life.
Jackie lives with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and Joubert Syndrome, two rare and complex genetic disorders that have affected every part of her health. Despite the constant challenges, she has always carried herself with quiet bravery and a strong will to live life on her own terms.
She is currently on palliative care, and her doctors have shared with us that her liver and kidneys are now in stage 4 failure. We've been told we may only have about six months left with her.
As parents, this is the most heartbreaking reality we’ve ever faced. All Jackie wants now is to live the rest of her time in comfort, surrounded by those she loves. We’re doing everything we can to make that happen — to give her peace, dignity, and quality of life in her final months.
We are asking for help from friends, family, and kind strangers who feel moved to support us. Donations will go toward:
Palliative care and medical support not fully covered by insurance
End-of-life planning and funeral costs
Helping ease the financial strain so we can be by Jackie’s side without worrying about missing work or falling behind
No amount is too small. And if you’re unable to donate, we ask for your prayers, your love, and for you to share this page.
Thank you for standing with our family. Jackie means everything to us, and your kindness means more than we can say.
With love and gratitude,
Jack, Pam (and family)
