Clyde "Eddie" Beard is currently at Cleveland Clinic Transplant Center awaiting a second liver transplant. Please consider a donation to help Clyde and Wendy with medical and living expenses during their indefinite stay in Cleveland.
History:
Clyde was involved in a motorcycle accident at the age of 12. As a result of his injuries he was given a blood transfusion from which he contracted Hepatitis C.
In 2008 he was fortunate enough to receive his first transplant. Sadly, the transplanted liver was damaged by hepatitis c ( which he has since cleared) and his health is again failing. He was turned down by several transplant centers, including Hopkins, due to the complex nature of repairing veins in this surgery. The wonderful transplant team at Cleveland clinic has agreed to treat his difficult case and pursue a second transplant.

Purpose:
While awaiting surgery, Clyde and his wife Wendy will need to remain in Cleveland to be near doctors. This is nearly 400 miles from their home in Virginia. During this time they will have additional living expenses, as well as maintaining their regular expenses. Wendy is unable to work at this time due to their being out of town.

In addition to living expenses, Clyde will be responsible for a portion of his medical care not covered by insurance.

Clyde is a loving husband, son, father,
brother, uncle, and friend, please consider a donation to show him how much we care and support him at this time.
