This fundraiser is to honor the legacy of Clyde Casey . Casey was a master percussionist, forkmeister, wooden sign carver, accordion and harmonica player, and built the most amazing mobile percussion rolling drum contraptions.
"An Original Soul Shaker" would be one way to describe Clyde Casey. He lived life on his on terms. FREE. WithOUT rules. Only LOVE. There was no NORMAL. Only WEIRD, brilliant musical mastery, art and giving. LOTS of giving. Casey beat to his own drum - literally and philosophically . He was orchestrator of all the smiles he encouraged, the joy he bestowed, and light that flowed from within him and all around him. If you were in his circle, you were HAPPY . That is all it took. For him to be near you. Radiating positive, magnetic energy and enamoring all who were lucky enough to have known him.
GOALS:
Online Memorial - Cover one-time lifetime fee to host Casey's Memorial Page
Storage - Pay storage fees, rent truck and remove all rigs and belongings
Cremation - Funds to cover costs
Celestial Celebration of Life - April 17th 2021 (to cover all expenses).
Video Documentary (created by Austin Hines - covering any expense related to production of the documentary).
Book - Create a book narrating Casey's legacy with various articles, rigs.
Charity - Make musical instrument donations to the Veterans hospital RecreationCenter. (Casey's last wish)
Time Traveler Pre-Party and Documentary Premier - Funds to host Lundi Gras party the night before the parade and final send off.
Spaceflight Parade - Funds for trinkets, rig transport, costumes, etc for the final send off and march on Mardi Gras Day
Donation - Any funds left over will be donated to either the VA Hospital Recreation Center and/or a local Homeless Charity
