Cloughjordan No.1 N.S. Road to the Aviva

Hi, we are Cloughjordan No.1 N.S. We are a small primary school in North Tipperary with around 75 pupils in our school. We love all things sport and are very successful in lots of different types of sport, whether it be basketball, hurling, camogie, Gaelic football, tennis swimming, gymnastics or soccer. Recently our girls team have won the Munster Final in the FAI 5-a-side soccer tournament. It was the third year in a row to reach the final and this year we finally got across the line. The girls soccer team will now represent Munster in the All Ireland Finals in the Aviva Stadium on June the 11th 2025. This is an extremely exciting time for our school and amazing opportunity for these girls. They have inspired so many of the younger children in our school. We couldn't be more proud of them.

To celebrate and support this achievement, we are organising a fun and ambitious fundraiser called the “Road to the Aviva”. Our students will collectively cover the 142km distance from Cloughjordan to the Aviva Stadium — around our school pitch — not just walking but hopping, skipping, jumping, crawling and cartwheeling, you name it, something different every lap! It promises to be a joyful and memorable school event.

We are seeking a €100 sponsorship from local businesses to help us raise funds via our GoFundMe page/Bank Transfer. All proceeds will go towards:

• Bringing the entire school community to the Aviva Stadium to cheer on our team on finals day

• Investing in sport and general facilities for all pupils in the school
