I'm raising funds to reimburse Amy Appel for the plane ticket she bought to help me get Cloud to his forever home.
I'm Justin Jones from My Crazy Cat Life, and I rescued two kittens, Cloud and Tyson, who both tested positive for feline leukemia. Tyson passed away at just 5 and a half months old. Since then, Cloud has been alone in quarantine in our rescue rooms for over a month. I visit him, and a friend visits him too, but it hasn't been enough for him. After every visit, we have to shower before being around my 8 cats, so Cloud has been spending far too much time by himself.
This has been the most emotionally intense rescue mission I've had to date. After losing his brother, Cloud deserved a real chance at a happy ending. I went looking for the right home for him and found one in Minnesota with Izaya, who already has an FeLV+ cat named Maverick and had been looking for a friend for him.
I looked into transport options, but professional quotes were around $3,600 one way. Then Amy Appel stepped in with an incredible offer: she bought a plane ticket to fly to Arizona and help bring Cloud to his new family herself. It is not every day that someone is willing to do something that generous just to help complete a rescue mission.
This fundraiser is only to cover Amy's plane ticket, which cost $638. I'll be receiving the funds and reimbursing her directly. If you've followed Cloud's story and want to help give this little 6-month-old kitten the happy ending he deserves, any donation would mean so much. Even sharing this fundraiser helps honor Amy's kindness and gets Cloud one step closer to home.
