Closure for My Dad

As the year comes to a close, our family will encounter several memories of pain, grief, and loss. Especially for my dad as he continues to mourn and figure out his new normal without his wife of 46 years. A significant trigger for my dad is the monthly reminders of my mom’s passing with having to pay towards a $550 balance for my mom’s headstone at the cemetery and money towards $1656.02 still owed to the funeral home. You see, my mom had hardly any life insurance, so my dad was left with a staggering amount of money to pay for her death. He has faithfully been making payments towards these debts every month, but I was hoping that WE could bless my dad with helping him to pay off these debts sooner. The saddest part is that the cemetery will not even make my mom’s headstone until the balance is paid. So for a year, her gravesite has been unmarked. My dad is particularly sad about this. We know that she is not there, but we would really like to honor her with at least having her name there. My mom’s Birthday was Christmas Eve, her favorite holiday was Christmas, and she went home to heaven on New Year’s Day. I am hoping that with your help we will be able to lessen the sting of these reminders of her absence with us. My dad doesn’t know that I am doing this, so let’s bless him with some help to let his mind be more at peace this year. Thank you all so much!
