Closing the Gap for Mike Meadows

Hi! My name is Jessica and I am raising money for a special friend of mine, Mike Meadows. This fundraiser is to help close the gap while Mike has to be out of work for an unaviodable back surgery.

He has overcome so many battles these past 4 years. From battling addiction, fighting for his son in DSS custody, starting over with 2 suitcases, no home, license, or vehicle. Mike had hope for the first time after running the streets for 27 years despite the long journy laid out before him. God opened his eyes to the life him and his son were worth living and that life was Mike clean and sober raising Clark despite what the world told him. Somehow he knew God would provide every step of the way, and HE has. Mike has regained custody of his son Clark, found work to provide a home and their necessities all while working his recovery.

He got news last week he feared. April of 2021 Mike had to have back surgery and was told there was a 10% chance they would have to go back in and remove a disc. Mike has degenerative disc disease and unfortunately is in that 10%. The doctor will be going back in his back to remove that disc and possibly do a fusion in the coming weeks. Mike has pushed through these past 3 months in excruciating pain with a physical job, multiple doctors appointments, MRI's, x-rays, pyhsical therapy,taking care of his home and Clark. Mike will have to be out of work for AT LEAST 2 months maybe longer for recovery.

With Mike being a single daddy, he is the sole provider for his household. This is where I am stepping in and reaching out to all of you guys. I pray that God leads the ones that are able to help to give out of their overflow. If everyone could help a little that would mean a lot. Mike and Clark have an amazing story and bond. Let's pull together and help these boys in their time of need. May God bless you for your generosity. The money will be used for Mike's rent and utilities for 2 months while he goes into surgery and then recovery time.

Life is hard enough for all of us and coming together during the times where the storm is rougher than usual shines a light into the world. The goal is for Mike to get the care he needs so that he can continue to be the best daddy he can be to Clark and get back to the activities that provide their livelyhood.
