Close Up Richard’s House
Donativo protegido
On February 13, Richard Peeples tragically fell off a 15 foot extension ladder and hit his head on the concrete. Richard is known and loved by many people as a person that worked in the trades for decades in our community, and also as the beloved owner of the Tackle Box in Chico.
After a month-long battle for his life at UC Davis, we finally received some promising news that he is in fact stable, and going to survive.
When Richard got in this accident he was building his new house, and making good headway. Unfortunately since this happened, the house has been sitting unfinished and in the elements, without the roof, walls, windows or doors in. The goal of this fundraiser is to get the house closed up so we can preserve the work he’s already put into it. We realize that this is a lot of money to ask for and we by no means expect to receive it all. We didn’t even want to ask for money, but we’ve had an outpouring of request to help, and this is the best thing we can think of as a way for people to help.
He has a very long recovery ahead of him and we are not sure how long it will be until he can get back out there and finish the house. So we just want to get it to a point where it can withstand the weather until it can be completed.
We want to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers through this devastating time in our lives. Even if you can’t contribute monetarily, just know your thoughts and prayers mean the world to us too. Thank you and god bless.
