We are in the middle of a global pandemic. For the first time being, our students and teachers have a massive educational challenge looming. Remote learning is the next normal. You can help us close the digital divide and set them up for success.
For thousands of students in our community ‘Back to school’ means gathering in a parking lot and a hunt for a WiFi signal. Without real access to high speed internet, kids across Lane County are essentially “logged out of school”.
YOUR DONATION IS DOUBLED!!!
You can help close the digital divide by making a donation to the Close the Divide Lane County Fund. Kendall Cares of Eugene will be matching every donation up to $15,000!!!
We are working with internet providers to offer inexpensive WiFi rates for students. Any amount you can contribute will make a big difference.
We are also raising money to provide essential school supplies and headphones.
There is nothing quite as necessary to remote learning as some peace and quiet, and that comes with a good pair of headphones. Headphones will give students a barrier between their head and the rest of the world. When the headphones are on, they can focus on what they’re doing and not the noise and chaos around them.
Kendall Auto Group is thrilled to partner with the Eugene Emeralds, Springfield Education Foundation, Bethel Education Foundation, Eugene Education Foundation, Springfield Chamber of Commerce, Eugene Chamber of Commerce, Funk/Levis & Associates, and the Ems Community Foundation.
All donations will directly, and positively, impact students in Lane County.
