Dr. Erik Close left this world to sail the winds in the sky on July 31, 2020.
Erik relished his role as a dad to Austin, Claire and Cooper. He was always there to cheer them on (loudly!) at their sporting events and was an active and involved parent who supported them in pursuing their passions and excelling academically.
Whether it was helping them develop their on-field athletic skills, talking strategy on an NFL Sunday or marveling at feats of engineering, Erik instilled a love of athletics, learning and intellectual curiosity in his kids.
For those wishing to honor Erik's legacy, we have set up this GoFundMe for donations in his memory to the Close Family Education Fund to benefit Austin, Claire and Cooper.
