Clontarf to Cork to help fight SADS by screening
Donation protected
Over the month of March myself and my brother Sean will be walking the distance from Dublin to Cork(250km) within out 5km for The Family Heart Screening Clinic at The Mater Hospital Heart House. We sadly lost our sister Orla in 2013 to SADS(Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome) which was a devastating loss to our family. We thought with March being Orla’s birthday month and wanting to remember her it would be the perfect time to raise some funds for a cause that’s so close to us. The Family Heart Screening clinic performs clinic screening evaluations on people who may be at risk of inheriting cardiac disease but also helps at risk family members understand the diagnosis of SADS/Sudden Cardiac Death which is crucial at such a difficult time. There is no charge for attending the clinic so it is supported by charity funding. This is why myself & Sean would love to raise some funds to help with this and to do our part in helping to fight SADS by screening.
