In 2015, John and Ingrid setup the John and Dorothy Cloninger Charitable Fund to send monthly donations to an ever expanding set of charities selected by us. We started with just 2 recipient charities and have now expanded to nine organizations that we believe are making an important impact in peoples' lives, just as John's grandparents had an important impact in the lives of those around them as well. Our current list of charities includes:
#YesWeCode is an organization that provides training and creates opportunity for women and men from underrepresented backgrounds through training and classes.
DropInTheBucket.org provides clean water and aims to reduce water borne illness in various regions of Africa through building wells and committing to maintain them
Doctors Without Borders delivers emergency medical relief in areas where it is most needed as a result of conflict, disease, or epidemics.
Center for Reproductive Rights is dedicated to protecting the reproductive rights of women across the country and around the world
The International Refugee Assistance Project (IRAP) is a group of lawyers and legal students that work to develop and enforce human rights policies for refugees and displaced people
NAACP Legal Defense Fund is a legal organization fighting to maintain and uphold racial justice and equality in America
GLAAD is a media organization working to promote cultural change towards LGBTQ acceptance around the world
American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) is a group that works to fight for human rights and individual liberties as guaranteed by the Constitution and laws of the United States
RAINN is the nation's largest anti-sexual violence organization that provides education, advocacy, and survivor support in the USA.
All donations will be deposited into the fund, and will contribute equally to all of these organizations (and likely more in the future).
