With much excitement and pride, I am happy to announce that my daughter, Cloie, has been nominated to attend the Junior National Young Leaders Conference in Washington D.C. this summer!

The Junior National Young Leaders Conference is a 5-day leadership development program for middle school students in Washington D.C. Cloie and other young leaders will have the opportunity to experience the power of democracy among the monuments, be inspired by exemplary stories of courage, collaborate to discover solutions to some of the issues they face today and spend a week learning with new friends.

This phenomenal program has a tuition fee along with associated lodging, travel and transportation costs. As summer approaches, I am facing the challenges of not only getting Cloie into a local summer program but now also getting her to Washington D.C.

Your contribution will allow Cloie to expand her understanding of how her leadership skills can be developed and used in her future pursuits. Cloie is a dedicated student, an inspirational leader at her school and an all-around wonderful human being. As a mother, I believe this conference will be a life-changing experience for Cloie that will help build her confidence as a community leader, find her voice and provide her with insight into her potential power.
